Thank you for responding so quickly. Looking forward to seeing these grow this summer.
06/11/2014 Update There were no planting instructions in the box. My neighbor and I gave it our best guess and planted the hard tip end down. Been in the ground for a week now and still no signs of growth. If they are upside down, please let me know and I will reverse them.

Hi Phyllis,

Why wouldn't you just ask us if you had a question instead of leaving a bad review?
You plant them with the small tapered end down and the thicker end (where last year's stem was) up.
